Snappi on your phone

Check your work, join a meeting, answer a call and record notes from your iPhone or Android phone.

What can I do on my phone?

The Snappi app for iPhone and Android shows the same workspaces, boards, notes and conversations as the web. You can update tasks, record a meeting into Notebook, join a video meeting, message and call teammates, and get alerts on your phone.

Some things are set up on the web only, such as buying notes pages, connecting a calendar and choosing a different address for notification email.

Getting the app. The app is in early access and is not listed in the App Store or Google Play yet. Ask the Snappi team for an invitation and we will send you the install link for your phone. Until then, Snappi works in your phone’s browser at snappi.now.

  1. Open the Snappi app.
  2. Sign in with the same email you use on the web, or create an account.
  3. If Snappi asks you to verify your email, open the link in the email it sent.
  4. Choose a workspace. You can switch workspaces later from the menu.

Open an invitation in the app

  1. Open the invitation email on your phone and select the link.
  2. On the invitation page, select Open this invite in the app.
  3. Sign in, or sign up with the email address the invitation was sent to, and you join the workspace.

Find your way around

  • Open the Menu to see your boards, My work (Favorites, Today, Assigned to me, Personal, Calendar) and the workspace pages: Messages, Meetings, Notebook, Members and Trash.
  • Select the + button in the middle of the bottom bar to create something quickly.
  • Use Search to find a task or board by name.
  • Sidekick answers questions about your boards and keeps your chat history.

Boards and tasks

Open a board and switch between its views: Table, Kanban, Calendar, Cards, Gantt, Dashboard, Files and Form. Select a task to change its status, owner, due date and other fields, add an update or attach a file.

You can also add, rename, reorder and delete columns, build a form and set up automations from the phone.

Notebook and meeting notes

  1. Open Notebook and open or create a note.
  2. Choose the meeting language, then start recording. Snappi writes what is said into the note.
  3. When you stop, Snappi adds the speakers, topic headings and a summary.
  4. Open the summary and turn a point into a task on a board.

Recording uses your notes pages. See Take meeting notes with AI for how pages work and how to buy them on the web.

Meetings

  • Open Meetings to see your meetings, with their notes and recordings.
  • Select a meeting to join it inside the app. Allow the camera and microphone when your phone asks.
  • Guests wait in the waiting room until the host admits them.
  • In the meeting you can see who is there and who is speaking, chat and send files, raise your hand, send a reaction and pin a person.
  • As host you can admit and remove people and change the meeting’s settings.

See Meet on video for everything a meeting can do on the web, including the whiteboard and breakout rooms.

Messages and calls

  • Open Messages to read and send direct messages. Ticks show when a message is delivered and read.
  • The strip at the top shows who is online. Select a person to Message them or start a Voice call or Video call.
  • When someone calls you, your phone rings like a normal phone call, even when it is locked.
  • On a voice call, select Video to turn your camera on.
  • Each call is listed in the conversation afterwards.

Choose which alerts reach your phone

  1. In the app, open Settings → Notifications.
  2. Under On this phone, turn on Phone notifications and allow notifications when your phone asks.
  3. Below the switch, turn each kind on or off: direct messages, missed calls, tasks assigned to you, task changes, comments, mentions, due soon, overdue, the morning digest, form responses, workspace updates and the team summary.

Calls always ring while phone notifications are on. If the screen says Turned off in phone settings, select Open settings and allow notifications for Snappi.

The email switches are on the same screen. To send notification email to a different address, use Settings → Notifications on the web.

Restore something you deleted

Open Trash from the menu. Boards, tasks, groups, notes and other things you deleted stay there for 30 days. Select one and choose Restore.

Add Snappi to your home screen instead

If you would rather not install the app, open snappi.now/app/mobile in your phone’s browser while signed in and follow the steps there. Snappi gets an icon on your home screen and opens full screen.

If something is not working

  • My phone does not ring for calls — check that Phone notifications is on in the app and that notifications are allowed for Snappi in your phone’s settings.
  • I get no alerts for messages — check the Direct messages switch under On this phone.
  • People cannot see or hear me in a meeting — allow the camera and microphone for Snappi in your phone’s settings, then rejoin.
  • The invitation did not open in the app — sign in with the email address the invitation was sent to, or accept it in the browser.
  • Recording will not start — you have no notes pages left. Buy pages on the web in Settings → Notes pages.
